Effects of nitrogen and potassium rates on growth and yield of red turmeric (Curcuma longa L.) on the gray soil in Ho Chi Minh City

The objective of this study was to determine the appropriate rates nitrogen and potassium fertilizers for growth, yield economic efficiency red turmeric cultivated on gray soil in Ho Chi Minh City. field experiment conducted at Agronomy Research Station Nong Lam University, City from December 2020 October 2021. laid out a split-plot design with three replicates. main plots included four 60, 90 (control), 120 150 kg N/ha. subplots 90, 150, 180 K2O/ha. All treatments were basally applied 500 lime, 10 tons cow manure 60 P2O5/ha. results showed that growth attributes significantly affected by potassium. Red N/ha combined K2O/ha obtained outstanding profit, such as plant height 43.0 cm, stem diameter 19.7 mm, number leaves 8.6 (180 DAP), analysis development index 42.1 (120 actual fresh 33.9 tons/ha, profit VND 370.17 million/ha benefit-cost ratio 2.68.
